BSF Eligibility and Exam Pattern for JE Vacancies:

At present, Border Security Force (BSF) is in the process of recruitment of Junior Engineer (JE) Architect in the designation of Inspector and Junior Engineer (Civil and Elect) in Sub Inspector (SI) Rank. For this, BSF will organize examination. Candidates who have applied are required to know about selection process and exam pattern for better preparation to crack the competitive examination. The information is being presented in the below written lines:-

Eligibility Criteria:-

For Junior Engineer Architect on  Inspector Post:

Essential Educational Qualification: Bachelor Degree in relevant Discipline.

Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and maximum 25 years.

For Junior Engineer (Civil, Architect) / SI :

Educational Qualification: 03 years of Diploma in relevant discipline.

Age Limit: Between 18 years and 25 years.

Selection Procedure: Selection process for above written posts will be completed after the following 07 stages examinations:

i) Written Test

ii) Documentation

iii) Physical Measurement

iv) Physical Efficiency Test

v) Trade Test (For Inspector Architect post)

vi) Interview

vii) Medical Examination

Pattern of the examinations:-

For written test:

After qualifying the examination, candidates will appear for documentation and physical measurement.

Scheme for Physical Efficiency Test:-

Candidates are required to qualify the following steps of the test:

  • Standing Broad Jump – 4’6”
  • Jump and Reach – 7 Ft. (including at least 01 feet jump & reach)
  • 01 Mile Run – 12 minutes for SI / JE and 08 minutes for Inspector.
  • Clear the Ditch – 6 Ft.

Candidates who have apply for Inspector post will be allowed for appearing in trade test.

Candidates declared pass in the first and second phase examination will appear in the personal interview.

Candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in interview will be subjected to detailed medical examination.

Scheme of Medical Examination – Candidates must not have knock knees, wearing glasses, flat floot and they should have high colour vision, good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect.
