Recruitment of PA / Stenographer in High Court of Calcutta :

High Court of Calcutta was established on 14th May 1862. It is formerly known as the High Court of Judicature at Fort William. Its first justice was Sir Barnes Peacock.

Applications on plain paper are invited by High Court of Calcutta from the Indian Nationals to prepare a panel for the recruitment of PA / Stenographer in pay scale of Rs. 7100 – 37600 and Grade pay Rs. 3600 /- with minimum pay Rs. 9030/-  per month. Applicants who have completed required qualifications can apply on plain paper to Register General on or before 1st June 2012. Recruitment details for the vacancies of Stenographer / PA in High Court of Calcutta : – 

Name of the position – Stenographer / PA

No.of Vacancies – 53 ( Existing Vacancies – 17 and Expected Vacancies – 36 )

Pay Scale – Rs. 7100 – 37600 /- with minimum pay Rs. 9030 /- and Grade Pay Rs. 3600/- per month

Age limit – Applicants’ age should be between 18 years and 32 years.

Educational Qualification – Applicants should be passed in the Higher Secondary Examination from the West Bengal Council of Higher Education or recognized council / board and should have Shorthand and Typewriting speed of 120 wpm and 30 wpm respectively with a certificate in Computer Training from recognized institute.

Application fee – Candidates have to pay Rs. 200 ( Rs. 50 /- for SC/ST candidates only ) through Indian Postal Order, which must be drawn in favour of ” the Register General , High Court Calcutta ” and payable at GPO Calcutta.

Selection procedure – Selection will be made on the basis of performance in Shorthand test.

How to apply: – Applicants meeting above prescribed eligibility criteria will have to apply on plain paper with demand draft, two recent photographs, attested copies of certificates of educational qualification, typing, shorthand etc on or before 1st June 2012 to the Registrar General, High Court of Calcutta.
