Number Vacancies: – Total – 50 (Gen-27, OBC – 13, SC – 7, ST – 3) Out of which for HI – 1 and OC – 1 (HI – Hearing impaired, OC – Orthopedically Challenged)

Age limit: – Lower 18 years and Upper 26 years as on 1 January 2011

Age relaxation is facilitated for SC/ST – 5 years , OBC – 3 years , PH – Gen – 10 years, PH – SC/ST – 15 years and PH – OBC – 13 years in upper as limit

Educational Qualification: – Graduation of a recognized University and skillful in Malayalam Language (To speak, To read and to write and)

Pay Scale: – Rs. 14500/- – 600/7 – 18700 – 700/2 – 20100 – 800/7 – 25700/-

Starting Pay of Assistant Manager will be about Rs. 22600/-

Mode of Payment: Through Challan. For Paying Application fee candidates must download Challan from Official website of SOUTH MALABAR GRAMIN BANK (SMGB) and after filling it in capital letter pay application with it in any branch of Canara Bank. After paying application fee Canara Bank will give receipt of Challan on which the following details will be necessarily given – (a) Branch Name of Canara Bank (b) Branch Code No. (c) Transaction ID (d) Date of remittance

How to apply:-

Candidates have to apply online in this concerned they have to go to official website of SOUTH MALABAR GRAMIN BANK (SMGB) and click apply online page and fill up it properly writing Branch Name, Branch Code and Transaction ID etc submit it.

Method of Selection: – The Bank will conduct two tests to select candidates. These tests will be written test and interview. Firstly Eligible candidates will be summon to appear in written test. The written test consists of four papers in which one paper English Language will be qualifying. Three papers are Reasoning, Quantitative aptitude and General Awareness. In these three papers Number of Question will be 50 for each containing 50 marks and two hours time will be given.

On the basis of Marks obtained in this test merit list will be prepared and selected candidates will be reckoned to appear in interview. Ratio of Number of candidates selected for interview and Number vacant Posts is 4:1. Final selection will be made in ground of total marks obtained in written test and interview.

Written test will be held on three centres – KOZHIKODE -11, THRISSUR – 12, THIRUANATPURAM – 13 (11, 12&13 are centre codes)

Call Letters: – Call Letters will be sent to all eligible candidates by post. If any candidate would not receive his call letter up to 6 June 2011, He may download it from the official website of SOUTH MALABAR GRAMIN BANK (SMGB) between 7 June 2011 and 11 June 2011.
