Supreme court of India invites applications for recruitment of the following posts: –

1. Senior Court Assistant (Senior Translator)

Eligibility: –

a) Master’s degree from a Recognized University
b) Certificate/Diploma course in translation from Hindi to English and English to Hindi from Institute/University or 3 years experience in Translation work from Hindi to English and English to Hindi in State/Central Government/Parliament/State Legislative Secretariat/State/Central Public Sector Undertaking/High court.
c) Knowledge of operating Computer.

Salary: – Rs. 9300-34800, Grade Pay-4600 PB 2

Age: – Not less than 18 years and not more than 27 years on 31 July 2010. For OBC upper age limit is 30 years and for SC/ST 32 years.

2. Court Assistant (Junior Translator)

Eligibility: –

a) Graduate with Hindi/English as a language subject.
b) Certificate/Diploma course in translation from Hindi to English and English to Hindi from Institute/University or 2 years experience in Translation work from Hindi to English and English to Hindi in State/Central Government/Parliament/State Legislative Secretariat/State/Central Public Sector Undertaking/High court.
c) Knowledge of operating Computer.

Salary: – Rs. 9300-34800, Grade Pay-4200, PB 2

Age: – Not less than 18 years and not more than 27 years on 31 July 2010. For OBC upper age limit is 30 years and for SC/ST 32 years.

How to Apply: –

Submit a Bank Draft/Postal order of Rs. 200/- and Rs. 100/- in case of SC/ST drawn in favor of Registrar, Supreme Court of India and two recent passport size photos attested by gazatted Officer and testimonial by gazatted officer. Write on Envelope: – “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF: ————————— and send it by registered post to – The Registrar, Supreme Court of India, Tilak Marg, New Delhi – 110001.

Last Date of Submission of Application: – 16 August 2010

For Selection of Candidate written examination will be organized G.K & General English – 30 marks and Translation from English to Hindi – 60 marks and from Hindi to English – 60 marks. After selection in this examination candidate has to face interview.
