Common Admission Test / CAT Exam Pattern, Syllabus

The CAT 2011 has two sections:

1. Data Interpretation & Quantitative Ability

2. Logical Reasoning & Verbal Ability30 questions respectively.

There will be 60 questions in the paper and each section will have. The total duration of the examination is 140 minutes. The screen will have an onscreen timer. Candidates will be awarded 70 minutes to answer 30 questions within each section. Once the time ends for the first section, the second section will appear and the candidate will no longer be able to view the previous section. A 15 minute tutorial will be provided before the start of the exam and the candidates have to go through it properly before the exam starts. The total time duration is of two hours and thirty five minutes including 15 minutes of tutorial.
