Notification: – National Eligibility Test (NET) 2011
University Grants Commission, a wholly autonomous body of Govt. of India, which is responsible for supervising the Higher Education System of India; is now going to conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET). As we know that NET examination opens the door of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) along with eligibility of Lectureship. For this purpose online applications are being invited from eligible candidates from all over India by UGC. Interested candidates may know all the details about the NET 2011 from below paragraphs.
Essential Qualification: – Candidates should have done Post Graduation in any of the discipline with 55% marks but for the candidates of SC/ST/PH/VH require only 50% of marks in respective post graduation field.
Age Limitations: – The candidates who want to take part in JRF should not be older than 28 yrs. as on 01.06.2011 Age Relaxation: – Candidates are belonging to reserved category as: – SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH along with women will get up to 5 yrs relaxation in the upper age.
Note: –There are no upper age limits for the candidates who are applying for lectureship programme.
Examination Fee: – Rs.450/- for the candidates of UR, Rs.225/- for OBC candidates, and Rs.110/- for the candidates of SC/ST/PH/VH candidates
Mode of Exam fee: – Candidates should pay the appropriate exam fee through the challan; which would be issued from any branch of SBI.
Scheme and Date of Test Exam: – The examination which is due on 26th of June 2011 consists 3-papers. The first paper will be in General Nature, proposed to evaluate the teaching aptitude of the candidates, the second paper consists the subject which is selected individually by the candidates and the third paper is in descriptive in nature from the subject selected by the candidates.

How to apply: – Candidates fulfilling the above eligibility condition may apply online through link; before applying online candidates have to ready the following things as scanned passport size photo in JPG format and copy of Bank challan.
Enclosures: – Candidates should send following documents with print out of applications after applying online : – Copy of Bank Challan, Attested copies of SC/ST/VH/PH/OBC (if applicable), Attested Educational qualifications certificates along with age proof documents, Two self addressed unstamped envelope of 10”*4” size.
